Nearly all companies that have nonunion auto plants have raised their workers’ pay, in the wake of the UAW’s big wins with the Detroit 3. Now, even Tesla, a notoriously anti-union company, has also bowed to the pressure. The employees can expect higher pay this year, although details have not been released. Shawn Fain, UAW President, has said the bumps in pay are simply an effort to get in the way of union organizing. Currently, the UAW is trying to organize Tesla’s electric vehicle U.S. plants.
