The Public Employees Federation may still have a chance to extend their Wednesday deadline to avoid the looming 3,500 layoffs.

Union workers at the Huhtamaki packaging plant have ratified a new, three-year contract.

The city teachers’ union is storing excess items from Occupy Wall Street after Mayor Bloomberg threatened to kick protestors out to clean up the park.

Employees at the Richmond County Savings Bank in Staten Island are facing 30 to 70 layoffs.

New York Racing Association employees are facing layoffs as well, in the midst of the move from Belmont to Aqueduct.
