Los Angeles, California – After Walmart  callously laid off 2,200 workers at five locations  due to “plumbing issues,” employees are fighting back. Workers at the Pico Rivera location associated with OUR Walmart have filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board.

That store just happens to be the original location that started labor actions against Walmart. But workers have called out this union-busting tactic as a shameless and heartless attempt to silence the voices of hard working people.

Venanzi Luna, an 8-year Walmart employee, said, “We know that Walmart is scared of all we have accomplished as members of OUR Walmart, so they’re targeting us. Through OUR Wal-Mart, we’re going to keep fighting back until the company gives us our jobs back.”
