New York, NY – CWA 1182 has announced its endorsement of Councilman Robert Jackson for Manhattan Borough President. "Robert Jackson has a been a strong advocate for better education for all New Yorkers, and has demonstrated that he is a determined individual who has worked hard to achieve his goals," said Robert Cassar, President, CWA Local 1182. "He will bring that same drive and commitment to the Manhattan Borough President's office which will benefit our Membership."

"I thank CWA 1182 for their confidence in me and their support. With more contributors than any other campaign, the support of Democratic Clubs, labor unions and education and community activist across the borough, we are
building the campaign from the ground up to get my message out and win this election," said Robert Jackson.

CWA 1182 represents more than 3,000 New York City Police Department Traffic Enforcement Agents and city Sanitation Enforcement Agents.

Robert Jackson endorsements include: the United Federation of Teachers (UFT), Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 100, the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA),  the Professional Staff Congress
PSC), Public Employees Federation (PEF), and CWA Local 1180 (Communication Workers of America).
