AFGE District 14’s  organizing drive gained 171 members on AFGE E-Dues.

The two-week organizing campaign ended with 88 new AFGE members and 83 current members converted to E-Dues. These initiatives are advancing the union’s fight against attacks on public service.

After President Trump illegally cut off automatic payroll dues deductions for union membership in an attempt to hurt AFGE financially, the union sued the administration and has been converting current members to AFGE E-Dues. Under this system, members can pay their union dues directly to AFGE through various methods like credit card, debit card, or bank draft.

“At least 171 more AFGE members now on E-Dues, thanks to our efforts,” said District 14 National Vice President Ottis Johnson. “Even more than that, we got to go out and reassure and shore up support among our front-line local leaders and speak to large numbers of federal employees during this harrowing time. We got to put out some optimism and hope for the future even while AFGE is in crisis.”
