“We’ve Organized, Strategized, Now It’s Time To Pulverize”: O’Brien Doubles Down On Pressure In Countdown To UPS Strike

Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien’s latest war cry on the impending Teamsters UPS strike has only gotten louder as the August 1 deadline for a contract agreement approaches. Although, according to O’Brien, 95% of the new contract with UPS has been negotiated, issues regarding “economics” have still not been resolved. 340,000 Teamsters are employed by UPS, and a strike would have major impacts on the UPS supply chain in the U.S. and internationally, O’Brien says. Pay for part-timers is a sticking point.
