The Trump administration’s famous slogan “Make America Great Again” garnered him millions of votes. Now, some of those voters, veterans especially, may regret their choice. It is getting more and more difficult to track the amount of damage Trump and his unelected stooge Elon Musk are visiting upon America’s people, but this particular move is not only unpatriotic, it degrades and dismisses the needs of those who served in America’s armed forces. The Administration, whose president himself never served, plans to fire tens of thousands of VA staffers. Members of three American Federation for Government Employees rallied outside the VA hospital in Midtown Manhattan in an effort to bring attention to the impending draconian cuts. In contrast, Biden broadened care and benefits under the 2022 PACT Act, which brought long-due care to some of the worst health effects visited upon these truly patriotic soldiers including injuries from burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic material.
