Vinny is the Business Manager-Secretary Treasurer of General Building Laborers Local 66 of the Laborers International Union of North America. The Laborers Union in North America has been a huge part of the construction of this country for over a 120 years and Local 66 has been the Nassau and Suffolk General Building Union for over 80 years. Together with the other Nassau Suffolk Building Construction Trades Council Affiliates, 66 builds the infrastructure and facilities that our
communities rely on every single day.
His path into 66 began as a level 1 apprentice 16 years ago and then shop steward. From there, retired Business Manager Steve Flanagan asked him to step up into the roles of Organizer, Instructor and Labor Management Field Representative with Greater New York LECET.
The projects he has been most proud of working on are; The OSHA 30 standards being adopted into the building codes of our Townships, The First in New York State High School Pre Apprenticeship in Roosevelt The SUNY Project Labor Agreement for all SUNY Campuses statewide Work force development and the growth and expansion of the Laborers Union are the driving purposes for him to fight for and defend workers rights his entire life and will continue to be, forever.
