Thousands of Flight Attendants picketed outside more than 30 airports worldwide. Employed by airlines such as American, Alaska, Air Wisconsin, United, Southwest and others were in attendance. They were members of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants-CWA, and the Transportation Workers Union. They were joined by allies from unions including the Airline Pilots Association, the United Auto Workers, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, among others. Over 100,000 Flight Attendants are currently in contract negotiations. They are seeking significant improvements in contracts and careers.
