Campbell, NY – BelGioioso Cheese, Inc. and Teamsters Union Local No. 118 jointly announce that a new collective
bargaining agreement has been reached and ratified by the bargaining unit employees at BelGioioso’s Campbell Polly-O
cheese manufacturing plant. The new agreement extends through December 31, 2028. BelGioioso and the Teamsters are
committed to working collaboratively to provide fair terms and conditions of employment for the facility’s dedicated
workforce.
In 2021, BelGioioso Cheese acquired the Polly-O brand, followed in 2022 by the purchase of the Campbell, New York
manufacturing facility. Originally constructed in 1938, the Campbell facility has undergone significant improvements by
BelGioioso.
BelGioioso Executive Vice President, Gustavo Badino said, “Since BelGioioso acquired the Campbell facility, we
have made significant investments into the plant and the employees, including infrastructure upgrades, modernized
equipment and locker rooms, and the addition of new production lines. These investments in the facility and its workforce
underscore BelGioioso’s commitment to the Campbell community and to future economic growth.”
Teamsters Local 118 Business Agent BeLinda Combs stated, “Our members at the Campbell plant are essential to the
success of the Polly-O brand, and this agreement reflects the value of their skills and dedication. The contract also
delivers meaningful protections and opportunities for our members while helping secure the long-term future of the
Campbell facility. We appreciate the collaborative approach during negotiations and look forward to continuing a
respectful and productive partnership with BelGioioso that strengthens jobs and economic stability in the Campbell
community.”
With the ratification of this new collective bargaining agreement, BelGioioso and the Teamsters look forward to
continuing their partnership and honoring the long and meaningful history of the Polly-O brand.
