Transit Workers Union Local 100, which represents tens of thousands of transit workers in New York City, has secured a tentative contract deal with its sometime arch rival the MTA. There had been bitter battles between the two during recent negotiations. On May 31, President Richard Davis announced that major progress had been made on the contract agreement. The union has gotten much of what they had demanded, including high raises, cash bonus payments, enhanced medical coverage for retirees, and more.
