On Monday, Jan. 9, Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman held a UPS National Screening Committee meeting. UPS locals review proposals, some of which will be brought to upcoming talks with UPS. The contract would cover about 350,000 UPS employees. O’Brien’s message to UPS is that the latest date for the contract to be agreed upon must be Aug. 1. “Sean is going to pick a fight with this company, and that fight is to get the very best contract we can get for our members,” said Zuckerman.
