In New York City, May Day, International Workers Day, brought thousands of workers, union leaders, politicians, and other opponents of the Trump Administration’s anti-worker policies to Foley Square in Downtown Manhattan. The focus of this year’s gathering was a wake-up call to all those who don’t grasp the seriousness of the threats to American workers under Trump. Homemade posters derided Trump, Elon Musk, and the scores of multi-billionaires who are in the process of attempting to take over every aspect of the American government, mostly illegally. A member of TWU Local 100, Matthew McMillan, said Trump was out to “erode the rights of everybody.”
