CWA Local 1182, the traffic agents’ union, has ousted its long-time president. Former president Syed Rahim, besieged by allegations of sexual harassment and findings of financial improprieties within the union, lost to his vice president, Alexander Sadik. The vote came only months after a new contract with high wage increases and other benefits was ratified by 95% of the members under Rahim’s leadership. Sadik is now voicing the need for further changes, the same ones Rahim had been attempting to change for years.
