About 16,000 passenger service agents, represented by the CWA-IBT have reached a tentative agreement with American Airlines. According to Marge Krueger, Director of Airline Passenger Service at CWA, the union’s members had organized informational picket lines at airports throughout the U.S. Issues were low pay, job security and safety. The new tentative contract guarantees wage increases and job security. The deal took over a year of organizing, Teamsters Airline Division employee Kim Barboro said.
