With FreshDirect planning to outsource delivery work, members of UFCW Local 2013 picketed FreshDirect in Brooklyn Sunset Park Monday February 2nd .
According to UFCW, FreshDirect is proposing to outsource 40% of delivery work to outside parties this year, and then increase outsourcing in future years as reported in BKREADER. The company’s union busting goal is to eliminate several hundred union jobs at UFCW Local 2013.
