1700 part-time faculty members at The New School went on strike Wednesday, November 16. The workers make up 87% of the instructional staff, but their salaries are only 7.5% to 8.5% of the school’s budget. They want a contract with real raises, expanded health coverage, and greater job security, among other demands.
