TWU Local 100 Mourns Dylan U. Valle

Brooklyn, NY —The TWU Local 100 family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear brother and friend, Dylan U. Valle, on April 16 after he was involved in a motorcycle accident. He was just 55.

Valle, a Bronx native, was a talented organizer whose tenure at Local 100 included expanding the School Bus Division to bring higher wages and stronger benefits to bus drivers and attendants in New York City, Westchester, and Connecticut.

“He was always down for a good fight,” said Frank McCann, Director of Organizing. “Truly an all-around good guy who made time for his family but always answered the call when his union brothers and sisters needed him. He will be missed dearly.”

Valle also worked at the New York Hotel Trades Council and at the time of his death, Valle had been employed at 32BJ for 10 years, where he was the Hudson Valley District Leader.

“His warmth, humility, and generous spirit inspired those around him, and he lifted others up even in the most challenging moments. A bright light extinguished far too soon, Dylan’s legacy will live on in the movements he strengthened and in the countless lives he touched,” read part of a statement from 32BJ, according to his obituary.

Valle leaves behind his wife and three children. Services were beheld at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, located at 491 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.
