The Minnesota Nurses Association, which represents 15,000 nurses, just won new contracts. A prior overwhelming strike authorization vote had driven Twin-Cities-area and Duluth hospitals to the bargaining table, and ultimately an agreement. Key to the Nurses Association win was its most important issue, input on safe staffing levels. “This is a win, not just for nurses, but for our patients,” said Victoria Zeehandelaar, RN.
