Bechtel Corp, a provider of engineering, construction, and project management services, has committed $7 million dollars to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The construction industry has one of the highest suicide rates of any profession in the U.S. Suicides in the industry are five times higher than lives lost in jobsite safety incidents. The donation will be used over five years to reach 500,000 construction workers.
