Washington DC – CWA Association of Flight Attendants working at United Arlines reach contract agreement.
After more than four years of bargaining, Flight Attendants employed at United Airlines and represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-Communications Workers of America (AFA-CWA) have reached a tentative contract agreement.
The agreement is expected to: Improve base pay rates; Place restrictions on red-eye flying; Provide for sit pay for scheduled and rescheduled sits over 2.5 hours; Increased compensation for retro payments; and Improved language in hotels and electronic notification. This contract would also continue to solidify boarding pay as a new standard for compensation going forward. If ratified, the improved pay scales and boarding pay would go into effect on May 31st.
The tentative agreement will go to AFA-CWA Members for a vote starting on April 23rd, with voting concluding on May 12th.
