AFL-CIO President Liz Schuler has brought attention to the current Trump-induced outrage.The Supreme Court has undoubtedly become Trump’s best friend. With three judges appointed by him, the conservative majority has swung most decisions in his favor, to such a degree that any impartiality seems to be long gone. Since the Trump administration and the unelected and unaccountable DOGE fired hundreds of thousands of Federal workers, not only have their lives been upended, but crucial services they provide will clearly be decimated. AFL-CIO President Liz Schuler has brought attention to this cruel decision, issuing a statement reminding us that these workers care for veterans, protect workers’ health and safety on the job, respond to natural disasters, and many, many more essential services. The Supreme Court has now given the Trump-appointed authors of Project 2025 the right to these mass firings and the ones that will proceed, but, Schuler says, litigation is ongoing.
