Charleston, VA – Republican lawmakers overrode Governor Earl Ray Tomblin's veto to pass anti-union legislation. A so-called 'Right To Work' bill and repeal of the state's prevailing wage law were both passed over the governor's veto Friday. West Virginia AFL-CIO President Kenny Perdue.
[Kenny Perdue]: "There's a lot of these elected officials that are extremely arrogant to the fact that workers are suffering. And they just don't give a damn as to what happens to 'em. We think that we've got a good shot at educating and coming into the next election and winning some seats back, which could change what we're dealing with in our House and the Senate."
