The life and times of Tina Turner is engaging and foot-stomping and hands clapping musical which keeps the audience engaged.  Adrienne Warren the star of Tina-The Tina Turner Musical has the booming voice, charisma and incredible dance moves which rocks the house.

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and  Kees Prins brings to the story to life from Tina Turner’s humble beginnings in Nutbush Tennessee to her skyrocket to stardom. The story introduces her start at a St. Louis Blues club and meets Ike Turner and joins him on tour. As she belts out her hits of the ’60s and 70’s she is severely abused by Ike Turner. After their divorce and hitting rock bottom she rediscovered herself and reignited her career.

Ms. Warren knocks all of Ms. Turner’s hits out of the park. This incredible performance will certainly earn her Tony nominations and we will have the battle of the Divas as Ms. Warren battles Karen Oliva the star of Moulin Rouge.

The show is highlighted by 23 songs like Proud Mary, Private Dancer, What’s Love Got to Do with It and the River Deep, The Mountain High. This is wonderful entertainment and is highly recommended for those who expect and demand a wonderful theatre experience.
