Governor Andrew Cuomo has started a temporary jobs plan for unemployed New York residents to help clean up the damage from Hurricanes Irene and Lee.

The Metallic Lathers Union and the Laborers International Union have filed a multimillion-dollar racketeering lawsuit against New York City’s largest developers.

The new labor contract between General Motors and the United Automobile Workers will bring in more entry-level workers and prevent outsourcing.

As Congress considers three free trade agreements, American workers may lose 18,600 jobs.

The Syracuse unemployment rate has fallen to 7.4 percent, the lowest it’s been in three years.

The overall employment rate for New York State has jumped from 4 to more than 8 percent in the past few years.
