Other city agencies are prepping for layoffs after Budget Director Mark Page asked for a 2 percent budget cut for the end of the 2012 fiscal year.

SchoolBook reports on the council hearing held to discuss the 672 New York school support staff layoffs.

Wall Street may be facing up to 10,000 layoffs by the end of next year.

Yesterday, members of the Public Employees Federation rallied to save 3,500 jobs.

Occupy Wall Street continues to grow and spread to other cities, including Boston.

Nearly 3 percent of teachers in New York State were laid off this year.
