Nearly 1,000 layoffs have been avoided with the tentative agreement between Gov. Cuomo and the Public Employees Federation.

The main state employees union in Connecticut has changed its bylaws to make it easier for union members to approve a concession agreement.

The union for employees of the New York City Opera has asked the State Attorney General to block the Opera’s move from Lincoln Center, stating it violates loan agreements.

Cisco is planning to lay off 6,500 workers, or 9 percent of its workforce.

For the first time, Starbucks workers in Chile are on strike for better pay and benefits.
