San Francisco, CA – Sean F. Taylor will head the SAG-AFTRA San Francisco-Northern California Local office. Taylor will oversee the union’s day-to-day business in Northern California.
Taylor previously served as the Equity Association’s assistant executive director and as Central Regional director. He brings with him a wealth of experience in union service, having worked at AFTRA, and then SAG-AFTRA, from 2004 to 2013. Taylor replaces Leonard Egert, who left in July to become National Executive Director of the American Guild of Musical Artists.
” Sean has a proven track record of fighting for our members and I know the San Francisco-Northern California Local will be in good hands,” said David White, national executive director of SAG-AFTRA. “We are delighted to have someone with his background and expertise back on board.”
Taylor holds a Juris Doctorate from Chicago’s John Marshall School of Law and comes to SAG-AFTRA with extensive experience negotiating contracts.
“I am impressed with the work Sean has done for performers at AEA, as well as with his background in broadcast negotiation. We look forward to working with him and drawing on his depth of knowledge and experience with the issues our members face,” said San Francisco-Northern California Local President Kathryn Howell. “We are fortunate to have found a new executive director who can hit the ground running.”
