New York, NY – Council of School Supervisors and Administrators President Ernest Logan called Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “Equity and Excellence in Education” proposals “ambitious and potentially transformational.
There is a lot to like about the Mayor’s proposal, like providing advanced placement courses in all high schools and offering computer classes to all students within the next ten years,” Mr. Logan said.“Much of this plan is an ambitious expansion of work already being done in many of our schools and will require collaboration between the partner organizations involved,” Mr. Logan said. “But if fairly implemented the Mayor’s commonsensical plan does indeed hold the promise of excellence and long overdue educational equity for all New York City school children.”
