New York, NY – The Uniformed Fire Officer Association has announce the election of local Mid-Island resident Lieutenant Jack Kielty, as the official F.D.N.Y Uniformed Fire Officers representative of Fire Lieutenant's pensions.
Jack Kielty was appointed to the FDNY in 1982 and assigned to Engine 15 in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Jack was promoted to Lieutenant in 1996 and assigned to Battalion 43 in Coney Island Brooklyn before being transferred into Staten Island's own Engine Company 164. This will be Lieutenant Kielty's first term serving as a duly sworn trustee in the Uniformed Fire Officers Association and first term serving on the UFOA's pension board.
Representing over 2,600 active and 4,600 retired men and women, UFOA members are lieutenants, captains, battalion and deputy chiefs, medical officers, and supervising fire marshals of the New York City Fire Department.
