Letter to the Editor – Bloomberg Sending Business Out of NYC

If Bloomberg was to make the Taxi of Tomorrow announcement today and he plans to make it this week he would reject both Ford’s bid to build them in Kansas and Karsan’s plan to manufacture taxis in Brooklyn. Bloomberg would choose instead Nissan to be manufactured in Spain.
This is an initial one billion dollar program, with three bidders, two of which are committed to “made in the USA” and one which is absolutely not. Yet the latter right now seems to be winning out.
What a travesty!
