Dear Friends,

2010 has been challenging and at the same time rewarding, being my first year in office as Comptroller. I start each day feeling privileged to serve and energized to help guide New York City in the right direction, and take most seriously the responsibility that the people have entrusted me with, recalling daily the Oath of Office I swore to a year ago.

As we head back to work in this new year I want to wish you the very best. Working together, I know that 2011 will be a year that sees greater improvement in education, job creation, and opportunity for all.
