New York, NY – Noises Off is a delightful classic comedy farce which will entertain all with laughter. Noises Off first opened on Broadway in 1983 and was revived in 2001. Michael Frayn’s wonderful comedy is set during a British comedy “Nothing On”.
This is a show within a show which brings together a motley group of actors in a hilarious combination of misunderstandings, prat falls and slamming doors. This show exemplifies how hard comedy is to perform through split second timing and physical humor which results in the engagement of the audience through belly-laughter who observe the pandemonium unfold.
The ensemble cast is led by the incomparable Andrea Martin who gives a perfectly timed hilarious performance. Megan Hilty plays her role with great comic timing as a dimwitted ingénue and David Furr gives a standout performance. The Director, Jeremy Hamm, perfectly orchestrates the complex lunacy.
