Washington, DC – New Jersey voters elected Rep. Donald Norcross (D-N.J.) to Congress last year. Norcross is a member of the Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 351. Although a first-term member of Congress, Congressman Donald Norcross has been named to the House leadership team by House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer as assistant whip.

In his short time in Washington, D.C., Norcross has proven himself to be a leader on issues important to unions and local communities. As a former labor leader, he brings a valuable perspective to Congress and Washington politics. Its critical that labor continue to elect those that will enact policies that create well-paying jobs and support economic growth needed to build strong communities and sustain a vibrant middle-class.

His election is a prime example of the importance of union members running for elected office at every level.
