Washington, DC – The Metro Washington D.C. Council of the AFL-CIO is launching a new immigration program. It’s aim is to defend union members and immigrant workers in the DC region.
On Friday there will be day-long workshops and training sessions to take hard looks at policies and approaches that protect immigrant workers.
The current immigration climate will be discussed and a new resolution is being adopted to guide metro DC labor in their immigration work in the coming months.
