CVS Caremark has announced that they will stop selling cigarettes and other tobacco products at all CVS/pharmacy locations across the U.S. by October 1, 2014. The American Lung Association applauds this decision and encourages other retailers to eliminate sales of tobacco products in their stores.

Tobacco-related diseases kill almost half a million Americans each year. By working to reduce access to tobacco products, companies can play a role in helping to end this toxic threat.
