“CSA is proud to endorse Council Member Tish James’ New York City Public Advocate who understands the educational challenges New Yorkers face and will continue to be a strong voice for children and families across New York,” said CSA President Ernest Logan. “As a City Councilwoman, Tish has been a powerful supporter of improving the educational system: prioritizing quality education and preparedness over teaching to test, preserving funding for after-school programs, and opposing co-locations and school closures that harm communities and neighborhoods.
New York, NY – Council of School Supervisors & Administrators (CSA) has endorsed Letitia “Tish” James for Public Advocate. In endorsing James, CSA praised her for her advocacy on behalf of children and families, particularly in the area of education.

James continues to build a powerful coalition of New Yorkers in her bid to become the next Public Advocate. She has earned endorsements ranging from progressive grassroots groups to labor unions, to elected officials. James has now been endorsed by: SEIU 32BJ, TWU Local 100, CWA 1180, UAW, DC 1707, Local 802 (musicians), Local 831 (sanitation workers), Local 444 (Sanitation Officers Association), Working Families Party (WFP), Brooklyn County Democratic Party,and Bronx County Democratic Party,
