A Bronx grand jury is taking testimony in the case of Bus Operator Marlene Bien-Aime, who was viciously beaten by a teen who boarded her crowded Bx9 bus on Fordham Road Tuesday evening. Along with Local 100 Secretary-Treasurer Earl Phillips and MABSTOA Division Chair Frank Austin, Bien-Aime talked to the press outside the courthouse sharing new details about the attack.

The assault on the Local 100 member could mean a felony conviction for Steangeli Medina, who became aggressive when Bien-Aime refused to allow her to board the Bx9 with her uncaged dog. Medina attacked Bien-Aime, dragging her down the stairs and out of the bus, breaking her nose and giving her a black eye and numerous bruises.
