Anchorage, AK – Anchorage firefighters have agreed to void their current contract and take a one-year pay freeze, according to city documents issued June 6.
Under the new three-year deal between the city and International Association of Firefighters Local 1264, the city will increase its contributions to the firefighter medical trust, and the about 350 firefighters agreed to give up a pay increase the old contract had scheduled for this year and wait until July 2018 for a raise.
