Washington, DC – The AFL-CIO Tuesday is hosting a conference on the impact global trade deals are having on workers. The labor federation says trade agreements like the TPP, the Trade In Services Agreement and the U.S.-E.U. Trans-Atlantic Trade And Investment Partnership can lead to job losses and lower wages.
The AFL-CIO also says these agreements can threaten national security and democratic accountability.
AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka, Ohio U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and economist Dean Baker are among those participating in Tuesday's conference in Washington D.C.
